Psalm 107:23-24

They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; these see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

Psalm 107:25-27

For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.

Psalm 107:28-30

Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

And we did business in the great waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

We saw the works of the LORD...

...and His wonders in the deep.

The trip was about moray eels and turtles. Note how our guide Bryan is giving this moray a taste of lionfish.

I don't think anyone saw a single shark. Very unusual.

The stormy wind rose up, and it lifted up the waves of the sea.

The waves (and the dive boat) mounted up to the heaven, and went down again to the depths,

On the boat, the divers reeled to and fro, and staggered like drunken men. (Later that night, something similar happened at the Brass Ring.)

Some were at their wits’ end, with heads hanging over the edge of the boat.

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distresses.

He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

Then were we glad because we were quiet
